Sarge
Hope is not a plan. A budget is a plan.
Who he is
Sarge spent a lot of years in the Army and learned plenty about discipline. It took him a little longer to apply it to his wallet. Early on, one small loan got away from him, and he's been learning how lending really works ever since.
These days he pays cash, reads every word before he signs, and quietly helps young soldiers climb out of the holes he once dug for himself. Follow Sarge if you're behind and need a plan, not a lecture. He's tough on plans, never on people.
How he sees money
- Plan for the worst. Hope for the best.
- Keep money set aside for emergencies.
- Pay cash when you can, and read every word before you sign.
- Don't spend like you got a promotion you didn't get.
That's Sarge's take, not advice for you. The Pack doesn't always agree.
What trips him up
Not every problem can be fixed with a checklist and willpower.
Fun fact
He doesn't trust banking apps. He keeps way too much cash in a coffee can. Penny is horrified.
His room on the call
A dim, warm den with his medals on the wall, a folded flag in a case and a shelf of books.
Sounds like
- “That's not an investment. That's a hostage situation.”
- “I like optimism. I also like receipts.”
- to Zeke“Son. Where's the plan?”
